Calcium Chloride Flakes
Calcium Chloride Flakes have exothermic properties, which means they generate heat to help melt ice and snow. This chloride de-icer is most effective at -31 C and will continue to work in temperatures as low as -52 C. High winds may prevent the flakes from sticking to the ground which can inhibit their ice fighting capabilities. Sold by the skid (60 bags/skid).

DESCRIPTION
This product can be combined with rock salt, sand and gravel to create a superior melting mix. After each use, Calcium Chloride Flake packages must be tightly sealed and stored in a dry area to maintain quality. This de-icer is very sensitive to moisture and can convert to liquid brine if not managed correctly.
